Abstract

This article examines the development of communication skills in foreign languages among future specialists across various professional fields. It provides a comprehensive overview of the theoretical foundations of communicative competence, including its structural components, developmental stages, and relevance in contemporary education. The study reviews modern pedagogical approaches and practical methods for enhancing foreign-language proficiency in professional contexts, with particular attention to task-based learning, interactive technologies, and professionally oriented language training.

Furthermore, the article highlights the critical role of cultural awareness, cross-cultural interaction, and interdisciplinary integration in shaping well-rounded communication abilities that meet the demands of a globalized labour market. The findings contribute to ongoing discussions on improving professional training programs and underscore the necessity of strengthening communicative competence as a key component of specialist preparation.
