Abstract
Handwriting expertise is a critical aspect of forensic examination, particularly in cases involving criminal activities and civil disputes. This article explores the concept of handwriting expertise, its significance, and the challenges associated with it. It delves into the process of determining the authorship of handwritten texts, the complexities involved in handwriting analysis, and the preparation and formalization of materials for expertise. Furthermore, it examines examples of verification in forensic examination and shares experiences from foreign states, including the United States, European Union member states, and China. The article underscores the importance of providing adequate and reliable samples for handwriting analysis and highlights the interplay of various factors affecting handwriting characteristics.
