Abstract
A comprehensive comparative analysis of Russian and Uzbek customs terminology is presented in the article. The study is based on a systematic examination of the structural, semantic, morphological, and cognitive characteristics of terminological units, which made it possible to identify patterns in their formation and functioning within legal discourse. Special attention is given to issues of translation equivalence, the influence of international legal standards on the development of terminological systems, as well as to problems of standardization and terminographic support. Based on the findings, key trends in the evolution of customs terminology are identified, and practical recommendations are proposed for the unification of terms and the improvement of translation practices in the field of customs regulation.
