TRANSFORMATION OF THE CORPORATE CULTURE OF JSC “UZBEKNEFTEGAZ” IN THE CONTEXT OF THE TRANSITION TO A “GREEN” ECONOMY AND ESG STANDARDS

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the role of corporate culture in the implementation of sustainable development standards at JSC Uzbekneftegaz and to develop recommendations for its improvement. The methodological framework is based on qualitative analysis of official documents and corporate reports, as well as comparative analysis of publicly available data, including ESG indicators and the results of independent corporate governance assessments. The findings indicate a substantial transformation of the corporate environment in 2024–2025, reflected in an increase in corporate governance effectiveness to 936 points, large-scale integration of compliance control systems, and an enhanced level of ESG maturity, as confirmed by the international Sustainable Fitch rating. It is established that the adoption of green technologies and increased transparency contribute to the formation of a “zero tolerance” culture toward violations and enhance investment attractiveness. The study concludes that corporate culture serves as a key driver of sustainable development and long-term corporate competitiveness.
