Abstract

The article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of studying such a social problem as drug trafficking; it examines the role and causes of the spread of drugs, including medicinal ones, in the life of human society, which have been widely and legally used and continue to be used in all parts of the globe.

In addition, this chapter defines the subjects and legal framework for combating illegal drug trafficking. The international drug trade has a long history. The general principles of the fight against crime developed by the UN are considered. The historical experience of the fight against crime has been analyzed.
